August 14, 200916 yr Hey, will you add Graham Johnson to your reports? http://www.thebaseballcube.com/players/J/Graham-Johnson-1.shtml ...Why?...
August 14, 200916 yr Hes a legitimate prospect. He is holding his own as a 19 year old in Greensboro, and is going through what all young pitchers go through there.
August 14, 200916 yr Hey, will you add Graham Johnson to your reports? http://www.thebaseba...Johnson-1.shtml ...Why?... At least someone else uses 'the baseball cube'.

Anyways, I've never seen the kid pitch, that's why I ask. His #'s don't scream prospect, but he is 19, in A ball.

August 15, 200916 yr Jai continues to rake. Is he a legit prospect at all, even for a possible 4th OF? .305/.373/.524 (.915) 78K/35BB in 305 is too many K's, but he's also still only 24 and maybe can improve on his contact rates. Even still, that he might still make a decent 4th OF one day, or so it seems. Also, he has a .994 OPS vs LHP (sick) and an .877 OPS vs RHP, so he's passable against both (even for NOLA), and I'm thinking these numbers appear as if he could make a decent 4th/5th OF + spell/platoon the regular starter vs LHP.
August 15, 200916 yr He should really be in Jamestown this year instead of Greensboro. yeah. and he's a good spec because he's 6'6 gb pitcher. right now it's pure physical potential.

And he strikes out way way too much. He's line v.s. LHP is also very BABIP loaded. His base periphals aren't much different BB% LHP: 11.7% RHP: 11% K% LHP: 31.1% RHP: 31.7% BB/K LHP: 0.43 RHP: 0.39 ISO LHP: .183 RHP: .149 HR over 650 PA: LHP: 22 RHP: 16 BABIP LHP: .367 RHP: .319 should also be noted his career LD% against LHP is lower than against RHP if we give him a .320 BABIp against LHP and .300 against RHP, plus more HRs, we're talking about a .667 OPS against RHP and a .736 OPS against LHP Combined with only an average SPD score (likely no bonus on the base paths) and not impressive defense...He's career AAA player unless he improves his K rate -------------------- To be fair though, he is "only" striking out 28% of the time this year. so it is improvement. need to drop to sub 25%
