btw guys, I have just recently been tuning into the game. Did we get 10 hits yet to keep the streak alive?

We have 9 right now.

All this talk about an obscure record....it's a curse. Watch, the Marlins won't get another hit tonite. Hopefully they won't need any more.

1 hit away

Rockies beat the Nats 4-3

Phillies up 5-1

Giants-Reds tied 5-5

Mets up 9-4 over Braves

i'm sorry, I just haven't been paying attention today and wanted an update. My b.

What a weird pre-pitch ritual.

hit a walk off reds!

you guys are gonna kill me, but ricky at his best > JJ at his best !!!

no. nolasco just strikes out more people since he goes deeper into counts and that makes him look sexier. jj gets outs quicker and easier so he doesn't get the chance to get as many strikeouts

Nolasco is a strike out pitcher.

JJ is a groundball pitcher, capable of K'ing hitters when he's really dominant (like the other night).

By the way, Hermida only drove in six teammates in July. That last RBI was his seventh of this month. He's had less than half as many ABs.

Rich and Tommy have actually been talking about it a lot as well. So it's not your fault

Wow he is really good right now.

A hit away!

I see a complete game coming. Boy, that would help the bp EXTREMELY!

i wonder if they're pitching around herms on purpose

YEs!!!! Hermida!!!

10 hitS!!!!!!

HERMIDA!! 10 HITS!! YEAAAAA

The 10th hit! HR, Jeremy Hermida!!

6-2 Marlins

That was an absolute lazor to right center field.

He sucks. DFA.

Did the 10 hit streak start when Nick Johnson came here?

a few games after i think

He sucks. DFA.

If you look at Hermida's history, he does this kind of thing all the time. He goes through short very hot streaks, and has much longer cold streaks. Hopefully he can keep one of these hot streaks going until the end of the season and possibly the playoffs.

nice snag COdy
