September 2, 200917 yr I figure this will get out soon anyway so I might as well tell you. Dallas had Tommy John surgery AND Flexor Tendon surgery today in Alabama. Dr. Andrews did the surgery and it went well.
September 2, 200917 yr hey nny, still think he is a prospect worth keeping and a guy with a future on the team? lol
September 2, 200917 yr hey nny, still think he is a prospect worth keeping and a guy with a future on the team? lol He has a better future than Clay Hensley (dlol).
September 2, 200917 yr hey nny, still think he is a prospect worth keeping and a guy with a future on the team? lol I do, it's not like he's making 5.5 Mil a year with incentives. He's at most making 300k on the MLB roster. Let him get healthy, let him progress, and re assess him later.
September 2, 200917 yr Author hey nny, still think he is a prospect worth keeping and a guy with a future on the team? lol H209 Your a TOOL. Ive seen your posts about Dallas and have ignored them. I cant believe you are making fun of a guy who's career could be in jeopardy. He did this during spring training and gutted it out for the team. People like you make me want Dallas to get traded or released so that he can get picked up by another team.
September 2, 200917 yr Get well. Hopefully he gets better and is the exact opposite of how poor hes been for the previous 2 seasons, if his ineffectiveness is totally due to injuries like someone would lead me to believe.
September 2, 200917 yr hey nny, still think he is a prospect worth keeping and a guy with a future on the team? lol He has a better future than Clay Hensley (dlol). :lol Btw, ur "dlol" thing (I think that's a typo) made me think that this board really needs an infusion of at least the occasional "ldo", where ldo = like duh, obviously.
September 2, 200917 yr Good to hear the surgeries went well, let him know we're rooting for him to do well in rehab and wish him the best. So he's expected to basically miss all of '10 now? And there's always going to be a h2r09 in a fan base so I wouldn't really pay any credence to what he has to say, he doesn't speak for us as a whole.
September 2, 200917 yr Author Get well. Hopefully he gets better and is the exact opposite of how poor hes been for the previous 2 seasons, if his ineffectiveness is totally due to injuries like someone would lead me to believe. Yeah Spike, I know you wont be buying a Trahern jersey. That is fine.
September 2, 200917 yr hey nny, still think he is a prospect worth keeping and a guy with a future on the team? lol yeah lol everyone knows you should dfa guys who get tommyjon! name a pitcher who has a future after tj? Just don't name JJ.

I could see him getting a few innings in the minors just to see what he could do but I am hoping the Marlins will give him the full year to rehab. It's not just TJ he is recovering from, he also has the flexor tendon. When he went to Alabama he was hoping to just have the Flexor Tendon surgery because it is only a 4 month rehab. From what Andrews told him he willl do the TJ rehab which will also rehab his FT. Im know Dallas will work hard to come back 100%. From what Ive read over 85% come back from this surgery just as good as they were. Some even come back stronger. We shall see. Im thankful for fans like you and Erick. Guys who see the big picture
September 2, 200917 yr Since you asked about the DFA thing before, what I assume they do then is bring him up and put him on the 60 day DL to free a roster spot. It's what they did with Harvey Garcia last year. It'd also be real good news for Dallas: he'd make 400k next year and one year closer to arbitration/free agency. We'll have to see what they do though.

September 2, 200917 yr Get well. Yeah Spike, I know you wont be buying a Trahern jersey. That is fine. Probably not, although I dont spend $$ on jerseys lightly. The Marlins have too much turnover. Thats not even taking into account the high possibility that he will never make an MLB squad and hence have a jersey to buy.
September 2, 200917 yr Spike, every time I look at your "data", my mind somehow jumbles into something resembling Spike --> Male parts? ......unknown.
September 2, 200917 yr I dont see how what I said there could be construed as dickish. Simple probability.

Just never been a Jersey kind of guy. But I totally get what you are saying. MLB makes a KILLING on jerseys.

You know, location, post count, etc. Oh haha. I misunderstood and apologize. The phrase "parts unknown" makes me laugh, because it makes me picture Ultimate Warrior just aimlessly running around the desert looking for someone to shoulder tackle. lol well Spike, Im not going to lie, Dallas' would be the first Jersey I have ever bought. Just never been a Jersey kind of guy. But I totally get what you are saying. MLB makes a KILLING on jerseys. Of the 5 jerseys I have, only Hanley and Hermida are still on the team. My Cabs, Willis, and Vargas(which was a silly choice to begin with) threads are all obsolete.

September 2, 200917 yr He didn't know Rabb was being sarcastic, so he answered his question. And that is a big ass list.
September 2, 200917 yr He didn't know Rabb was being sarcastic, so he answered his question. And that is a big ass list. I think Rab's point was basically to laugh at him for saying that a pitcher with Tommy John should get DFA'd. The list just made him look even dumber b/c there are plenty of guys on that list who have had successful careers after Tommy John.
