October 21, 200917 yr Tim Hightower is averaging like 7 fantasy points a game, which is about average. I have Kevin Smith and Ryan Grant, both average RB's, already. This is Smith's bye week, and with Grant already using his I believe, I can ride Smith and Grant to the end. Hightower wasn't significant at all. T.O has a much higher chance of rebounding and becoming a shadow of his former self than Hightower has at exploding. I disagree.
October 21, 200917 yr Hell, Ricky Williams as a backup has more rushing yards on nearly 1/3rd of the carries Hightower has. Had to unload him and his 3.1 ypc average.
October 22, 200917 yr If your trading hightower, turn around and try to pick up Beanie Wells. It might give you tradebait or a starter down the line. Realistically, i don't like the deal at all though. Bell is a backup, TO has a piss poor qb, Zach Miller is better off with a zombie as his qb, and henderson has not scored off turf since 2007. In the mneanwhile Hicks is turning into their Plax after sitting out the first 3 games, Hightower is shouldering the load with Beanie Wells struggling, Shiancoe is Farves TE (He always heavily relys on his TE). Bad deal, but if you did it---it's time for damage control. Mind you, I owned Shiancoe, and still have Hicks and Owens (who is very very droppable, waiting 2 weeks will get you him off the waiver wire if the other owner is trading him).
October 22, 200917 yr Beanie has 6 fantasy points all season. No way in hell I'm picking him up. Just realized he is on a team already anyway. Even if he was available, I feel more confident with Kevin Smith and Ryan Grant starting, with Bell possibly starting some games against teams who are terrible in red zone defense. eh, I'm taking a risk with Owens, I know that, but its a high risk high reward kind of deal. I could beat Schnellders with Matt Schaub alone
October 22, 200917 yr I can't wait till I go 6-1 at the weekend. LOL, I love when guys can dream big when the odds are completely stacked against them. Like the tortoise and the hare story, how cute. Only problem is this time, you are just a tiny bit overmatched. Feel the wrath of Owens and his breakout game next week. I'm gonna UNLEASH THE F*CKING DRAGON! is me is you Have fun being 5-2
October 22, 200917 yr How can I be overmatched when I have Ocho Cinco? None of your 2nd rate players are awesome enough to have their own iPhone app!
October 22, 200917 yr Piazza31 - Peterson is an obvious keeper. I would probably also select Reggie Wayne as he constantly puts up top #1 WR numbers with Peyton throwing it his way. Matt Ryan is a decent candidate for your 3rd keeper, as is Steve Slaton.

Or keeping my RB's and trying to grab the other pieces of my team in the draft? Henne should be around late, and ryan may not get picked if other owners keep their QB's. Personally, I was leaning towards AP, Slaton, and Benson or AP(lose my 1st), Benson (lose my 7th) and Mendenhall (Lose my 11th if he continues to start).

Tim Hightower also has more receiving yards, and nearly double the receptions as Terrell Owens. That's how bad Terrell Owens is right now. And Hightower is still the #1 back on his team. Those aren't easy to find.
October 22, 200917 yr ya dim, im pretty sure i won this trade. owens sucks this year and has no qb, miller is nice but sunday was his only good game since week 1 and his team and qb are awful. bell and henderson have too many weapons too be solid plays really ever.

Well, at least Bell gets goal line carries. He's a lot like the LeRon McClain of this year. He has some value. Henderson's value is basically nothing now, though.

Henderson's value is basically nothing now, though. the only problem is the ravens didnt really have many air threats when they go to the goal line. this year, the saints have like 5 different goal line type recievers so it takes some value from him and he doesnt get the regular carries with pierre thomas and bush takes the 3rd down receiving downs so he is really just a goal line guyt with too many weapons around him so i thought i shopuld get rid of him for a guy like hightower who gets a lot of carries, carries on the goal line and is a pretty damn good recieving back as well
October 22, 200917 yr The big matchup this weekend as 6-0 faces 5-1. Good fo rme, someone's gotta lost But I still gotta do my part... You mean Schnellders? Yeah, he's gonna lose big time. Honestly I'd rather it be you lol. But either is a big benifit for me. BTW about the T.O. and Hightower thing... I'm on the T.O. side. Hightower is not going to break out.

October 24, 200917 yr Finally! I traded McNabb!! I sent QB Donovan McNabb, RB Pierre Thomas, and WR Miles Austin to my brother for WR Steve Smith (from Carolina), RB Leon Washington, and RB Felix Jones. My team currently looks like this: QB - Drew Brees (NO) RB - Cedric Benson (CIN), Rashard Mendenhall (PIT), Marshawn Lynch/Fred Jackson (BUF), Mike Bell (NO), Leon Washington (NYJ), Felix Jones (DAL) WR - Andre Johnson (HOU), Marques Colston (NO), Steve Smith (CAR) TE - Owen Daniels (HOU), Kellen Winslow (TB) D/ST - New Orleans & Oakland (for now, I'm going to alternate these 2...planning on Oakland this weekend) K - ??????????????????????? I don't care about the kicker, but I need one. Who would you suggest I drop? Maybe a RB (although I like having many of them, as I do now...good depth at that position is important to me b/c I don't have a #1 stud to count on, there). Maybe drop Kellen Winslow who I picked up today (kinda like him though. He and Owen Daniels...MY 2 TE'S...are tied amongst TE's for most targets). And the defenses...I'm keeping New Orleans because their schedule gets weak soon. I'm not starting them this week though b/c the Dolphins offense is playing well. So I'm going with Oakland who looked very impressive last week, against a good Eagles offense, now that they've decided to blitz more. I like the matchup against Mark Sanchez for them this week, at home. They might be a keeper too depending on how they play b/c I think they have the talent on their defense to be pretty darn good. So who do you think I should drop to add a kicker?
October 24, 200917 yr Lol Erick you got fleeced. You got Steve Smith, who has admitted that he is no use to Carolina, you got Leon Washington, a backup RB, and Felix Jones, also a backup. The overall point though is that you gave up Miles Austin and Pierre Thomas.

The overall point though is that you gave up Miles Austin and Pierre Thomas. All 3 guys I got have potential, though. And the best player in the deal is still Steve Smith. I think I lost the trade, too, but I just don't want McNabb anymore. The only player I might miss of the 3 I traded is Pierre Thomas. But with all the RB's, I feel like I can make up for the loss. I've barely started Thomas this year, anyways, and his value is a bit overrated now, I think, since he's no longer getting goal line carries. Anyways, the trade is done. Who would you suggest dropping?
October 24, 200917 yr Put it this way... in terms of value you got fleeced... but in terms of making your team better you accomplished that. McNabb sits on your bench - the others dont. I understand... but what I'm sayin is that in terms of value left to right... you threw a lot the other way.
October 25, 200917 yr Week 7 starting lineup QB - Drew Brees (@ MIA) RB - Cedric Benson (vs. CHI) RB - Marshawn Lynch (@ CAR) Flex - Leon Washington (@ OAK) WR - Andre Johnson (vs. SF) WR - Marques Colston (@ MIA) TE - Owen Daniels (vs. SF) D/ST - Raiders (vs. NYJ) K - Jeff Reed (vs. MIN) I picked up Jeff Reed just b/c my opponent has the Vikings D/ST, lol. Dropped Kellen Winslow.
October 25, 200917 yr Really bad decision splitting up your tandem of Bell and THomas, at the very least you had 2 starting RB's there and all of NO rushing TD's. Washington, Jones don't equal Thomas. If you were able to keep Thomas, I would have made a McNabb, Austin for Washington, Smith Deal. Other then that, I would have told your brother no dice and pass the Biscuits across the dinner table.
October 26, 200917 yr Leon Washington out for the year. I would be even more upset today, but it did not really matter. My opponent scored 177 points. I lost 177-110. Now 4-3, despite leading my league in points scored.
October 26, 200917 yr Leon Washington sucks, I dont know why you are upset. You shouldnt have traded for him. Thomas Jones > Annyways... 6-1 5-2 5-2 My MarlinsBaseball.com lost this week, barring a sever punter change in scoring tomorrow and a sudden Brian Westbrook injury/failure to put up anything. I'd say this is a pretty successful season for me though. And with my 1 team last year I went to finals, so for the past 2 seasons I've enjoyed cood success. However in my 1 NHL league, I went champ 2 years ago, lost finals last year, and my guys are sucking it up badly this year.
