I was wondering if anyone in South Florida has seen any reusable Marlins Grocery Bags at any Publix stores doen there? Last season, we hit up one in WPB and they had really nice Dolphins bags (that went over very well as Christmas present wrapping for my Dolphan family). It got me to wondering if any Publix stores (perhaps closer to the stadium) cary Marlins ones. I know the Stadium Store (At least last year, they did) sells Marlins ones, but they were about triple the cost of the Publix ones and weren't as nice.

Thanks!

I'm curious about this as well. If my fiancee is going to make me conserve, at least my efforts can have a Marlins tilt to them :thumbup

Yes. I have one in my car right now.

EDIT:

I'm sure I got it at one of the Publixes near Brickell, but can't remember which; it was a while ago.

It's too bad Andrew Miller isn't here to answer this question. He'll be pretty familiar with these soon enough.

Oh snap!

for those interested, I am in Clearwater right now and they have Phillies and Rays bags here in Publix. So I'm sure if you go around ST towns you could find some cool bags.

Any idea how much they cost relative to normal reusable bags?

I work at Publix and I feel so bad that I don't know as much as I should about this. I think the bags cost around 4 dollars. Well the regular Publix ones do. These are probably more expensive because of the Marlins logo.

Phillies bags at Pubix? WTF? Not at mine.

Ok, I admit now that the Miller thing was pretty much uncalled for. It was just my way of saying what comes to mind whenever I read a thread title about grocery bags on a professional sports forum. It actually had very little to do with Andrew Miller, other than that I needed somebody to pin my joke on. :hat

My Publix (3) along Biscayne Blvd all are devoid of Marlins bags rather they are filled to overflowing with (vomit) Dolphin ones.

So, I just got 3 of them today at a local Publix (Tamarac, FL). The bags cost $2 each. I am very excited!

The manager actually remembered my request, and the next time they were getting a delivery, he told me they'd put aside a few for me.

They have them in stock all the time down here at the new one on Sample and at the new new one on University (used to be Albertson's). Probably didn't have to wait.

That's funny, because I have a family member who works at one of those Publix. Either way, I'm glad I got some.

We have one. We got it at the Publix on Kendall Dr.

I don't know about grocery bags, but I've seen lots of garbage bags with the Mets logo on them.

i remember seeing one before a couple months ago at a Publix in Wellington i regret not picking it up. i will be making another trip to Publix in a bit hopefully i can find one.

I think he means the other university drive, or at least much further north on the same one. That Publix is in Coral Springs.

Ah. I was born in Miami, but have lived my whole life in Central Florida, so I only know the area well enough to get from our hotel in Ft. Lauderdale to JRS.

If you go to games, make a small donation at the community corner table and you can get one there all year round.

I'll usually buy a visiting team prior year media guide ($2) and get the Marlins reusable bag for free at the community foundation table...
