If this team ain't in contention, Loria will probably firesale in season or after season is over to get back at MLB forcing up payroll. Then again a firesale now wouldn't make team look good in new stadium. That being said, even Loria seems a better owner than the retards in Pittsburgh, and I ain't taking that back.
May 22, 201016 yr I don't think the Marlins are a playoff team the way they are constructed. This so-so start kind of reminds me of 2003 when the Marlins fired Jeff Torborg and hired Jack McKeon. Maybe they will go that route again but I don't see a firesale coming this season. That would be a disaster for public relations not as if Loria or his little troll buddy Samson ever cared much about that.

MLB didn't force up the marlins payroll. Neither did the players union. 2. There isn't going to be a firesale even if we finish the season in dead last. I would bet that theres never going to be a firesale again because the reasons to have a firesale are gone. 3. This team is a playoff race team. Meaning we have a good shot of being in the wild card/division race. A playoff team would mean there is little chance we don't make the playoffs. Ex the phillies Ok...so...in other words, better chance of Fredi being fired than a firesale?
