7/17 Gamethread Marlins vs Nationals

Featured Replies

Nationals (40-50) @ Marlins (42-47) 7:10 Start Time

Josh Johnson (9-3) 1.70 ERA ( 6-0, 3.55 ERA vs. WAS) vs Livan Hernandez (6-5) 3.37 ERA (13-8, 3.52 ERA vs. FLA)

Marlins: Uggla finds his stride in July

Second baseman Dan Uggla hit .403 in 17 games leading into the break, notching two doubles, two homers and 14 RBIs. He went 1-for-3 with a walk Friday to bring his batting average to .285 on the season. He's hitting .444 through 11 games in July.

Marlins are pretty much sh*t or Shine vs Livan but we are going to spark today offensively with both Longballs and some early smallball.

J.J. needs to come back strong from his impressive ASG performance and give the team a nice 7 IP with 2 or less earned runs like we no he can do.

Let's get this win streak going!

Logan Morrison with the day off in AAA today? Seems weird that he would with the AS break just over. Is it possible a call up could be announced after today's game?

Doesn't look like it. From NOLA.com:

Logan Morrison, who endured some pain in the game Friday, being hit by a pitch and fouling a ball off his ankle, is out of the lineup.
