Admin
Nyjer Morgan got an 8 game suspension tacked onto the 7 day one he is appealing. Pat Listach (Nats 3B coach) got a 3 game suspension Doug Slaten got a 3 game suspension Jim Riggleman got a 2 game suspension Volstad got a 6 game suspension Sanabia got a 5 game suspension Gaby got a 3 game suspension Edwin Rodriguez got a 1 game suspension
Iowa
So a possibility of 15 games? Awesome
gizmo
So 2 of our starters are going to miss their next starts, in addition to Miller already filling in for Nolasco? I guess Badenhop will start one, but who starts the other?
Iowa
Any chances of appeal so we can get through this braves series?

Although they forgot "Being an Asshole", but that's a given anyway
fanofthefish
How the crap does Sanabia get 5 and Listach get 3? Also surprising Gaby only gets 3. The players can appeal the suspensions and then if they want drop the appeals so they won't miss starts at the same time.
Shaft
Sanabia and Gaby shouldn't have been suspended at all EDIT: To be unbiased, Listach shouldn't be suspended either. Yeah he got on top of Volstad, but if you look at the video he's just trying to hold him down. He's not throwing punches or anything, he's just trying to protect his player like Gaby was. The fact that Gaby had to clotheline the punk Morgan to do it is besides the point. Also I've completely missed how Sanabia was involved with this at all? And Veras escaped suspension? (Although I still don't know why he was ejected)
Iowa
Esentially a one game suspension for sanabia.. but yea, i didnt see him do anything?
gizmo
Watch it again and you'll see Sanabia throwing some punches on one of the Nats and i think even a tackle. http://florida.marli...t=.jsp&c_id=fla It's at the 18 second mark EDIT: Actually, after watching it again I see that Sanabia was going at it with Adam Dunn! Entendu
Pretty harsh what they gave Sanabia. Gaby was let out easy; he probably earned some form points on that lariat that docked down his suspension :mis2 Listash should have gotten a bit more seeing as he's a flippin' coach. So hard to see. I can only see Sanabia at a point where a very tall National yanks him outta the pile by the scruff of the neck. Is that Dunn? I don't see Sanabia attack anyone at all except attempt to lash out at the man who yanked him out, although it seems he missed. EDIT: Yeah, it is Dunn. I can't tell at what point Sanabia jumps into the pile, it must be during the camera shift (he must have been sitting in the dugout?). Dunn manages to rip him outta the pile effortlessly. I have no idea why Sanabia got singled out by MLB here. I don't see him do anything at all other than be in the pile with 10 other people EDIT2: Yeah, seriously. Does anyone see Sanabia AT ALL until the very noticeable Adam Dunn walks into the picture, goes towards the pile, and yanks him out by the back of his collar? But Sanabia knocked Dunn to the ground and it's just on the edge of the scrum, making it more easy to make out. I'll tell you what though, Sanabia went up in my book for knocking Adam Dunn to the ground.
Admin
Edwin was suspended for 1 game and Riggleman was suspended for 2 as well.
Shaft
I don't think Sanabia knocked him down. Seemed like Dunn went don't on his own by yanking Sanabia out of the pile

Entendu
Uhhh i remember being able to see sanabia dropping some big punches onto someone on the ground You may have that confused with Gaby. Gaby actually started punching Morgan after he knocked him down. I didn't notice that until a few minutes ago.

How Sanabia got singled out by MLB from this mess is truly beyond me. I don't see Sanabia doing anything in particular more so then the rest of the people in there

Admin
The suspensions of all players are scheduled to begin tonight, unless appealed, with the exception of Sanabia, whose suspension is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, pending appeal, in order to avoid overlapping with Volstad’s scheduled suspension. If any players choose to appeal, their discipline will be held in abeyance until the process is complete. MLB Press Release
Entendu
Also, Edwin has been suspended for a game (today) and Riggleman for two games. They also suspended the guy who hit Gaby for 3 games.

It wasn't a big deal
