2010-11 Offseason thread

Are the Baseball Writers of America blind? Or Just plain dumb?! How did Price not get the AL Cy Young Award?! And how did someone with 13 wins get it?! If Price can't win it with the type of season he had and facts his stats for the season produced, then I'm afraid the Cy Young, for at least this year, was little more than a popularity contest. David was wrong in his interview, the best pitcher did not win. I hope he was only make good public statements, shame on you BWAA, shame on you! :banghead If I'm in the minority in this I don't care, Price should have won, or at least CC Sabathia, 13 wins on a Cy Young when he's a starter is inexcusable.:thumbdown

I kept waiting for the punch line. It sets up so well. I thought you were doing a bit of self aware parody on your ridiculous persona.

It turns out you weren't in on the joke and I gave you way too much credit.

Different league I know but Tyler Clippard was nearly as awesome as King Felix as he had 11 wins!!!

My friend Eddie had 11 wins in a small wood bat league I played in. He could've won. :D

Yeah, it was definitely a popularity contest when a pitcher from Seattle beat out a pitcher from NYC

You know I could could do with out the smart ass-ness.You can't tell me you guys have never been upset by what you could swear in the heat of the moment was a bone-headed move. I calmed down and realized I was wrong, jeeze, cut a guy a break.

The thing is, this wasn't the heat of the moment. That was a reflection on a belief you've held that was cultivated over time, not to mention reaction to something that develops over 8 months in the long-term and 3 months in the short-term.

And who are you to judge what's "heat of the moment" for me?

Because Rab co-wrote Asia's 1982 hit.
