Posted November 2, 201014 yr With the win of the Giants in Game 5 of the 2010 World Series the off season has begun. So let's begin the discussion towards the next season. What rumors have you heard? What moves have been made? Trades? uniform changes? Talk about it here.
November 2, 201014 yr Well, the obvious big story of the offseason will be where Cliff Lee ends up. I have a pretty good feeling he'll be a Yankee

November 2, 201014 yr We should bring back Hermida just to make things interesting here at Marlinsbaseball.com
November 2, 201014 yr Author Give us [Jeremy] Hellickson and we'll give you Uggla.  Are you crazy? Get you own potential Cy-Young-er. Well, the obvious big story of the offseason will be where Cliff Lee ends up. I have a pretty good feeling he'll be a Yankee   NO!!!!! Splash the cash and bring V-Mart, CC and Lee to SoFla!!!!   I think I'd like Carl in Miami....if he can't stay with the Rays.

I have a pretty good feeling he'll be a Yankee   NO!!!!! It's New York Yankees or Rangers Splash the cash and bring V-Mart, CC and Lee to SoFla!!!!   I think I'd like Carl in Miami....if he can't stay with the Rays. He won't come here he's going to L.A.A or NYY.
November 3, 201014 yr D'Backs Decline option for Adam Laroche. Jon Garland declines option, is now a Free Agent. Zach Grienke has said that their is no way he'd accept a trade to New York, he has a no trade clause. Braves pick up options on Infante and Alex Gonzalez, decline Ankiel and Farnsworth. They also sign Scott Procter. Yorit Torrealba declines Mutual Option and is a Type B FA.

November 3, 201014 yr i cant believe the dbacks declined the option on laroche after he hit .261 with 25 home runs and 100 rbi. he is such an idiot. i remember last offseason he was offered a 2 year 17 million dollar deal from the Giants and he turned it down for a 1 year 6 million dollar deal with the dbacks. yea that choice turned out well and after he has a career year he gets let go.
November 4, 201014 yr Author Just out of curiosity any chance a mod can pin this thread until the season starts?

Towers has taken over the DBacks, and he's pretty much going to make sure they have a bullpen + make sure the team cuts down on strikeouts. There's a good chance Mark Reynolds gets traded this offseason, as well.
November 4, 201014 yr I wouldn't mind the Marlins trading for Reynolds in case Dominguez isn't ready. He would fit right into our lineup with all the K's and home runs. Might as well bring in Carlos Pena while we're at it.

November 4, 201014 yr I knew Mark Reynolds had a horrible season but I didn't realize just how horrible it was... Â .198 BA with 211 strikeouts in 499 ABs and a .951 fielding percentage??? lol! Good lord!
