His #'s in the games he started at 1B were better than his #'s when he started at catcher, as well (although, both #'s were impressive). Another good point that I had forgotten about (though I'm pretty sure I made this argument a month ago).

November 17, 201015 yr For Benoit or Detroit? He was so dominant last year. For Detroit. 33 years old, and they give him a 3 year deal worth 16.5 million total. His year last year was impressive, but it was also a career year. Relievers are so unpredictable, so it makes no sense to me to give a guy at the age of 33 3 yrs./16.5 mill when he's not even going to close for them. Even if he does well, this certainly isn't a cost efficient move on the Tigers part. There are so many better ways to spend that money (mind you, I like Benoit, and even said a couple of weeks ago that I'd take him here to close on a 1 yr deal worth 5-6 million).
