Admin
I didn't expect him to return anyway but now it looks like it's confirmed. According to Patrick Newman of NPB Tracker, the Hiroshima Carp of Japan's Central League are close to signing Chad Tracy. He'll get around $1.3 million from the Carp, much more than he would have been able to find in the United States, so good for him. The 30-year-old batted .247/.306/.322 with one home run and 15 RBI in 146 at-bats between the Cubs and Marlins this past season. Schnellders
For whatever reason when I see guys like Tracy head to play in Japan, it just seems weird.
SilverBullet
Tracy to Japan???? Ughhhh we are losing all our best players! Remember November 16th!!! This day is horrible... Beinfest needs to go! How could he not keep Tracy!!! Why not give him Uggla's $48 million??? 2011 is so doomed!!!
fanofthefish
From a Marlin to a Carp, maybe when he returns from Japan he can play for the Mud Cats. Kind of expected when the Marlins already have a less productive player for the 3b/1b back-up spots
Erick
Cool. We need a lefty bat on the bench. I wanted him last offseason, and I want him again this offseason...Eric Hinske.
