The Hangover Part II

Featured Replies

How did it go, some reviews say its bad others say it is brilliant.

Im confused as to which, i can't wait to see it though.

It is funny but too similar to the first film. If I give the original 8.5 out of 10, the new film is 7 or 7.5 at absolute most. Still worth seeing.

I give the first a 10, its my perfect film.

For me i think people would have been disappointed if it wasn't similar to the first, and they would if it was. It was kinda a lose lose situation for them. Leave it at 1 film and be known as one of the best comedies and films of all time or jeopardise the name with another.

In comedy film terms, I would agree that the original is deserving of a 10. However in the grand scheme of things I gave it 8.5 as while I enjoy a good comedy, I think big epic productions or movies with a great story are more suitable to be given a 10

Just got back from seeing the 2nd one. I must say i really enjoyed it. Any critic that gives it a bad score is a pleb. IT had the enjoyment of the first one and added the new storyline to it.

Was similar in cast but was different in storyline. Its like saying Toy Story 2 is similar to 1. Its not though is it?!

I give it a 9/10, loved the first one, and loved this one, but the first was a big surprise and out of the blue so this one wont get my 10/10.

Saw the whole movie the day after it came out.

Don't waste your time. If you saw the first movie, you saw most of the second movie, except this one is in Bangkok.

Literally, same movie, different groom, different location, that's it.

The plot was the same, the gags were different. Thus, hilarious and enjoyable.

Exactly. Who cares if it was the same as the first? It's a comedy. This movie was hilarious.

did anyone else just not think the first one was all that hysterical? I mean it was okay, just didn't think it was the funniest thing ever like everyone else apparently.

I thought it was good, not great and I was disappointed with the ending.

I'm right there with you. I think expectations played a role for me, though. O had very few for the sequel, which I actually enjoyed a good bit.

I thought the same, although all my friends swear its the best comedy ever made, I thought it was OK. Not spending the money on the second one though, I will wait till Netflix has it.

I loved the second but they should have left it at one. Its known for its brilliance, and all the actors except (Doug) have come out with big parts in other movies. Especially Zach who is my favourite actor at the minute.

I won't be counting in the "best comedy ever" crowd, but the first one was a non-stop laugh riot and the second was right there.

This exactly. I really liked the first one, but I wouldn't say it was the best comedy. The 2nd one is hilarious too, def worth watching it. I've already seen it twice, and I gotta say I enjoyed it more the 2nd time.

I give the first a 10, its my perfect film.

I wouldn't say "lose-lose", they banked hard on this movie. Broke the record for a Memorial Day opening weekend if I remember correctly, and its gonna make hundreds of Millions more than the first one.

I always though the first one was terribly overrated. It was funny, but it wasn't THAT funny - and I like that kind of humor.

If they come out with a third one i would like to see Chow in it as a main character. Having him and Alan saying stupid sh*t all movie long seems hilarious
