Have you ever considered it?

I disowned the 2009 May Florida Marlins.

If you do than you are not a true fan. No matter how horrible this team is I always look forward to the next game.

I seriously have no idea what has gotten into the team this month.

 

When our hitters were struggling, our pitching was at least decent.

 

When our hitting is slowing coming around, our pitching is gawd awful.

 

If we can somehow end the month above .500, ill be unbelievably surprised

Looking forward to the future has nothing to do with disowning the past.

 

The Florida Marlins haven't played a game in June yet, so far as I'm concerned.

i don't disown my team ever, fair-weather fans do that.

This just feel like the one month we look back at the end of the year and say "well if didn't suck in June, maybe we make it."

 

I am not disowning them but hiding them. Maybe the back of the garage or closet.

All this nonsense about being a fairweather fan if you dislike it when the team loses is ridiculous. I'm a fan like everyone else on this board (otherwise why would we waste our time here?), but it doesn't mean I can't be disgruntled about this team's performance recently.

 

The truth is, as Dr Beinfest has put it, the Marlins have not played a game this month yet. God forbid I'm not a "true" fan for saying it. :blink:

well I live way on the other side of the atlantic ocean in a country call the United Kingdom, and you see, there is what you call TIME ZONES, and the UK is 5 Hours ahead of the East coast, Since April iv Stayed up till almost 4 am to watch the Marlins, as well as other Marlin Fans in the UK, So its Not as easy to invest time in this team when the Marlins are fading fast as My friends on the east coast ..

The marlins never even played in June. That was just some sh*tty team I don't even know the name of...

 

 

The Snilram Adirolf's are my least favorite team. Indeed this must be them.

When they're in a fat losing streak they'll be my "commercial channel" when i'm watching TV as opposed to my prime choice.

 

But I can't blame the Fish for the big stinky dump the sports gods took on florida this early summer. Lightning out, Heat implode, Fish on skids, Seminoles get stomped on. God damn, it was looking like SOMEONE would have at least ONE championship.

It needs to be Dr. Beinfest's birthday every day, that way the Marlins will always win. Seriously...their only win in June so far was on his b-day
