I Love Me Some Fish
I disowned the 2009 May Florida Marlins.
Hollyberry
If you do than you are not a true fan. No matter how horrible this team is I always look forward to the next game.
gizmo
I seriously have no idea what has gotten into the team this month. When our hitters were struggling, our pitching was at least decent. When our hitting is slowing coming around, our pitching is gawd awful. If we can somehow end the month above .500, ill be unbelievably surprised

Looking forward to the future has nothing to do with disowning the past. The Florida Marlins haven't played a game in June yet, so far as I'm concerned. dom2613
This just feel like the one month we look back at the end of the year and say "well if didn't suck in June, maybe we make it." I am not disowning them but hiding them. Maybe the back of the garage or closet.
ColorNapkin
All this nonsense about being a fairweather fan if you dislike it when the team loses is ridiculous. I'm a fan like everyone else on this board (otherwise why would we waste our time here?), but it doesn't mean I can't be disgruntled about this team's performance recently. The truth is, as Dr Beinfest has put it, the Marlins have not played a game this month yet. God forbid I'm not a "true" fan for saying it.
louiecastillo1
The worst part about the Heat season ending, is that we're now stuck with this crap and nothing else. : /

FloridaMarlinsForever
I feel that we watch the Marlins/baseball for two reasons, # 1 To see them Play Good Ball # 2 To see them win and progress as a form of pleasure If these two things dont happen then whats the use of watching them play, just becuase you cease to follow the marlins when their down doesnt mean your a fair weather fan, its just your way of showing them your dis-pleased and who wants to watch a team thats always losing, what so we can watch the mermaids? Because teams aren't going to win all 162 games, and losing is part of baseball. There would be very little for Erick to discuss if we never played bad baseball. Dr Beinfest
The marlins never even played in June. That was just some sh*tty team I don't even know the name of... The Snilram Adirolf's are my least favorite team. Indeed this must be them.
FishFan88
When they're in a fat losing streak they'll be my "commercial channel" when i'm watching TV as opposed to my prime choice. But I can't blame the Fish for the big stinky dump the sports gods took on florida this early summer. Lightning out, Heat implode, Fish on skids, Seminoles get stomped on. God damn, it was looking like SOMEONE would have at least ONE championship.
HitDaCycle
It needs to be Dr. Beinfest's birthday every day, that way the Marlins will always win. Seriously...their only win in June so far was on his b-day
Dr Beinfest
Other than a Marlins win and all of the attention whoring, it wasn't that great I say the return of Josh Johnson will spark some heat for our team. Bank on it :lol
