The Rays Republic is surrounded on three sides. A retreat to the sea is inevitable.

The same can be said for the white sox.

Plus, the Mets should not show up on the map, at best they are a semi-autonomous occupied territory. Kind of like the West Bank

No, it was accurate.......when it was made. Now I think it would differ a bit, for all teams, not just the Rays and Marlins.

BTW, seen this before.

Yeah, that article isn't quite right. I mean... NO YANKEE FANS IN SOFLA?!

Im originally from the west coast of florida (Sarasota) its true when I lived there I saw alot of rays fans. Like el penguino said a retreat to the sea is inevitable, over n out...

I live in New Orleans and there aren't many Astros fans here. Even the years The Zephyrs were the farm club for them. Like any city without its own team, most of the baseball fans jump on popular bandwagons. Yankees, Cubs, Red Sox. There are more Braves fans than Astros. Growing up (pre 93) I was a Cubs and Braves fan, because they're wasn't 16 espns, MLB network and the Internet. During the summers The Cubs were on WGN and the Braves were on TBS almost daily, so that was the only exposure to Major League Baseball. I became a Marlin fan in '93 (I was 14) because I liked the colors and uniforms :)

I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?2pcks4

the Rays are bigger than the Marlins or Braves fans in Jax from what I've seen

I really think since the Rays got themselves in as the perrenial second-best in the AL East, most of Florida has been a Rays town. go into any Wal-Mart that's not in SoFla to see what I'm talking about
