I live in New Orleans and there aren't many Astros fans here. Even the years The Zephyrs were the farm club for them. Like any city without its own team, most of the baseball fans jump on popular bandwagons. Yankees, Cubs, Red Sox. There are more Braves fans than Astros. Growing up (pre 93) I was a Cubs and Braves fan, because they're wasn't 16 espns, MLB network and the Internet. During the summers The Cubs were on WGN and the Braves were on TBS almost daily, so that was the only exposure to Major League Baseball. I'd like to thank Jermaine Phillips for contuining to talk trash to the New Orleans offense even after he got flat out abused by Devery Henderson on the 84 yard TD pass. Good job getting in Reggie Bush's face one play before he juked the hell out of you for the game winning TD pass, now you will be on NFL films for the rest of recorded time like the cat for New England who Barry Sanders turned around in '94. (Talib got smoked by Patten on the first TD, 84 yard touchdown pass and 42 yard TD pass given up and you gave up 100 yards on the ground to Bush and Pierre Thomas combined. (Pierre Thomas not Deuce.) You guys arent going anywhere as long as Jeff Garcia and Chucky is calling the shots & you over paid for Jeff Faine who was a pretty average center for us. After watching Carolina spank "the Best team in the AFC" without its biggest offensive weapon, I think both our teams are in big trouble as far as the South title goes honestly, and its going to be a bang it out year for the South if that game was any indication, even Atlanta has shown it has the ability to put points up.....although it was Detroit they were scoring on. But hey who knows the "worst to first" trend in the South could stay alive if they look like that every week. Im just glad football is back! We will see you guys in a few weeks at the Ray Jay and I believe it will be the same close, knock out, drag out type of game. The Stats don't lie: (If Brees dosent get hit, forcing a bad throw, this game wouldnt have been close) The Saints held the Bucs to 221 passing yards and gave up an average of 4.8 yards per pass play. The defense was especially good on third down, allowing Tampa Bay to convert only two of 12 of those situations into first downs. (Tampa didnt have a first down by the way of third down until the 4th quarter)

Major League Lacrosse called, they want thier logo back. This has got to be the worst logo in professional sports.....EVER. Major League Roller Hockey laughed when they saw that. My 6 year old daughter could have drawn that font above the Logo. Bush League Logo for a Bush League Town.

I would love to see the Marlins and my New Orleans Zephyrs pair up. Its pretty much a lock that the Mets arent going to renew with us. (GOOD RIDDANCE) New Orleans has a great org. with a pretty solid fan base, and a great stadium. We have 2 AAA World Series Titles (one a co-title after 9-11) and played in the PCL Championship in 2007. None of this matters as far as development, I just like to brag on the Z's actually. The New Orleans Zephyrs are the only professional team to ever win a title in New Orleans. That being said I still have my teal hat with the black brim on display in my house LOL. (on the brim is written in marker "Florida Marlins '97 world champions" with the exact date and time we scored the winning run below. Ahhh staying up late during Senior Year to watch the Marlins win the series......priceless. All in all id give the uni's an 8/10. I love the Miami on the road jersey and the font is top notch. And I thought I was the only one who did that! I remember falling asleep during second period psych, but it was so worth it! ha, nope youre not the only one. I wouldnt dare fall asleep, New Orleans is Braves & Cubs country (now its Red Sox bandwagon country) so I had to wear my Marlins gear and rub it in to all my friends that the Marlins now had just as many world series as the Braves & just as many series wins as the Cubs had in the past 90 years. It is also Astros country, but being an Astro fan is pathetic enough theres no further harm to be done by talking junk to a Stros fan. Speaking of High School..........I lost my virginity wearing that Marlins hat come to think of it. (i wasnt actually wearing the hat during the deed, but the hat was in worn before and after haha) It would have been much more memorable if i had kept the hat on.

I like everything except the beige......like the change to white in the second rendition, & the Caps. The caps just look minor league to me. The Marlins black cap is one of the best in all of baseball IMO, I would incorporate the Fish onto the hat like my avatar, Its tradition. The Teal caps look early 90's to me honestly. Im sick of hearing about it Honestly & Im tired of ESPN feeling compelled to take 20 minutes to the start of every program to report non stories. Mortensen's wife is going to leave him because he has such a man crush on ole greybeard. He lives about 45 minutes from New Orleans in Kiln, Miss and honestly local media dosent even talk about the story that much. Its so lame to have to hear about this nonstop.
