Is there a pitcher in MLB that can't shut the Marlins offense down

Featured Replies

There is a team with a full rotation that can't shut the Marlins offense down.

The members are Nolasco, Johnson, Volstad, Sanchez and Olsen

This

Well?

Mike Pelfrey. :cool

lol that was my exact though when I read the question!

except for his last start

We didn't kill him but 8 baserunners in 6.2 innings isn't exactly "shutting us down".

i thought the ability of a pitcher to "shut an offense down" only depended on how many runs they allow considering thats all that matters at the end of the day. That said, pelfery allowed 2 runs in 6.2 innings.

Aren't you the same people a couple weeks ago that were saying this was a play off contender?? And now you are saying any pitcher in MLB can shut this offense down??

Wow. Talk about going to the extremes.

If you're talking to me, no, I was definitely not saying that this team was a playoff contender.

It was all over for our offense when we were shut down by Julio

Jorge Julio "shut us down?"

There is not pitcher that cannot shut us down, there is also no pitcher we cannot beat the living sh*t out of.

I'm not talking directly to anybody. Just making an observation.

we have a winner Kyle Kendrick

HE SHOULD HAVE GONE TO JAPAN

1-2 with a 10.80 ERA in 3 starts against the Fish this year after last nights game

Colin Balester of the Nats has been the most impressive in shutting us down... 11 2/3 IP, 5 H, 2 ER, 8 Ks
