September 8, 200817 yr Well? Mike Pelfrey. :cool lol that was my exact though when I read the question! except for his last start We didn't kill him but 8 baserunners in 6.2 innings isn't exactly "shutting us down".
September 8, 200817 yr Well? Mike Pelfrey. :cool lol that was my exact though when I read the question! except for his last start We didn't kill him but 8 baserunners in 6.2 innings isn't exactly "shutting us down". i thought the ability of a pitcher to "shut an offense down" only depended on how many runs they allow considering thats all that matters at the end of the day. That said, pelfery allowed 2 runs in 6.2 innings.
