Well, come on, if the seats are empty, it's for 2 reasons:

 

1) Panthers

2) Heat

 

(if you want a third one, this game is against the Astros...)

 

Those really aren't good excuses. Plenty of other cities have a lot of stuff going on too and don't have these problems.

 

It's the second night of the new park for god's sake.

Those are great excuses, actually. Those teams are winning [the Panthers are in the playoffs, Heat are going to the playoffs], Miami people are gonna go there and claim they've always been fans.

Not everyone cares about hockey or basketball. And the market is large enough to fill seats despite multiple things going on, just as it is for mostly every other major sports city in the US.

That's the thing. Miami isn't a "major sports city." It's a Football city first, everything else second.

That's the thing. Miami isn't a "major sports city." It's a Football city first, everything else second.

By major sports city, I mean that it has a pro team for the major four. Pretty much every sports city has a dominant sport.
