I still really hate Nolasco. He's so frustrating.

agreed. plus his fastball barely touches 91 anymore. he came up throwing 92-94 easy and would touch 95.

the money they gave ricky may have been better served giving it to anibal.

Only been a Marlins fan since '07 but this team really excites me like none before. Speed, power, proper rotation, proper bullpen, proper closer. Looking forwards to October.

Stanton seems to be coming off the ball a lot. His top hand is coming off and he looks like he's trying to pull everything. Last season his top hand stayed on the bat almost throughout his whole swing.

He also seems to be having some trouble reading the ball off the bat. Noticed it a few times so far. Big hesitation Thursday led to that missed diving catch. For now I'll just chalk it up to learning the new pond. Lighting, etc....

I've also noticed his front shoulder seems to be flying out and he's not waiting back on pitches - he seems very pull happy and his bat's going through the zone too fast, which, isn't a BAD thing, if you're facing someone like Strasburg who's jumping one up there at 98. But for breaking pitches and all, that bat needs to stay in the zone longer and all that, he could probably be batting .270/.280 with 3 or 4 jacks by now.

I chalk it up to being young enough to still need spring training

I think it has to be mentioned that the FO made a great move when they brought in Boni, even I didn't get the move when they made it but they've proven me wrong... he has improved drastically since we first saw him.
