Decent start for Conley, Marisnick with 2 doubles.

LoMo and Mahoney rehabbing with Jupiter, Eovaldi's supposed to throw today - if it goes well he could have a rehab start with the Hammerheads on Saturday. Kotchman's also going to start rehabbing soon.

Former Gator Anthony Desclafani continues to pitch well in Jupiter, he's older so don't want to overreact but could move quickly through the system.

Great to see the Major Leaguers messing up Jupiter's win streak!

Have a great few days off

These are the guys in the minors who have been very impressive so far this season...

Brent Keys/Brian Flynn/Austin Barnes/Isaac Galloway/Anthony Descalfini/Justin Nicolino/Christian Yelich/Nick Wittgren/Scott McGough

At least to me. There are probably other players worth following in the minors that I haven't noticed yet.

marisnick now at .282

Zack Cox back in the lineup tonight for the Suns.

Marisnick 3-3 with a homer,

Yelich, Realmuto & Canha all doubled,

Brent Keys is really starting to impress me. hitting way over .300 for the second straight year and he is an on base machine who walks more than he strikes out and steals some bases. May be a great 4th outfielder or who knows maybe a starter down the road.

marisnick now at .282

OPS up to .802.

Sample size.

Still nice to see though.

Brian Flynn is really good the first time through the lineup but seems to implode a lot of times the next few times through the lineup. I'd give him about 5-10 more starts in New Orleans then call him up later in the year.

Hopefully he can be a back of the rotation lefty starter.

Can anyone tell me why Wittgren is still in Jupiter?

Keys has ascended to #20 on the Marlins top prospects according to the team website, he does seem to hit fairly well and is quick. I saw with GCL way back and again this year with Jupiter and he's an impressive player to watch.

As for why Wittgren is in Jupiter, my guess is they want to see Brady close at Jax for at least the time being, they may move both up later in the season.

I'm at the Suns game tonight and they have 2 hits through 7, it's just like the big club!

Heaney had another good start today.

Yelich has been struggling lately

he's a little cold the last few games yeah. went 1-4 tonight with a single & didn't look great in most of the at-bats really. Neither did Marisnick or any of the Suns for that matter.

Zack Cox did smoke a nice double in the gap.

and one of the Birmingham players tossed my kid a baseball, doesn't get much better than that so I can't complain.
