In May against the Mets, we scored 24 in 3 games. So, yes, we've done that.

And two of those games were in Wrigley, where Hechavarria can homer, too.

It might be premature to say I told you so, but I was not incorrect regarding Yelich and I may not be incorrect about this, either. Again, I am a glass half-full kind of guy, I don't understand why there is so much constant pessimism. It's just easy to be a pessimistic Marlins fan, I guess. I must like to take the road less traveled.

They are similar in that they are both Dominican, switch hitters, lack power, have blazing speed, and play second base. But Castillo was ridiculously superior defensively, on the base paths, and in the batters box.

 

So, yes, I compared their similarities, but I never claimed their talent was comparable.

That's the thread. And as I said, I mentioned similarities between the two players. Similar people, switch hitters, same stance, Dominican, wear the same number, play the same position, etc. I never said Bonifacio was comparable talent-wise, just that the two guys were alike as people. I quoted an article at the time where Castillo made the same observation, I believe.

Well, not just that. Dominican, wore the same number, same position, both switch hit, both are incredibly fast, they're like identical height/weight, etc. Just happened to notice they had quite a bit in common, never said they were similar players as far as capability is concerned.

For what it's worth, both Luis Castillo and Emilio Bonifacio both were incredibly fast and both looked fat.

Their last names both end in "O." That basically clinches it for me--they're the same player.
