Backin2008
The Marlins have signed Reed Johnson to a minor league deal. He mashes lefty pitching.
Michael
Could be a good compliment to Bogusevic off the bench, if he makes the MLB roster.
SilverBullet
At first glance I like this better than Vernon Wells. Not saying we would have gotten Wells but Johnson seems to fill the same role that Wells would have been brought here for. Good move. Guest Vince0926
Bogusevic has to make the team right? The ruggiano trade would be pointless then.

SilverBullet
The Ruggiano trade was pointless Not if you count the fact that Ruggiano just got $2 million from the Cubs... and for Loria, that matters.

I know I know..At least we have Garret Jones now But I'm glad for Ruggz he got a nice pay day. Too bad it wasn't from the fish though. He was a favorite of mine as Bender can attest
SilverBullet
Didnt Frisaro say that, in Loria's mind, from a financial perspective, he turned Justin Ruggiano's salary into Casey McGehee, Bogusevic, and now we sorta-kinda include Reed Johnson since it was just a minors deal. Its kinda twisted but when I read that I kinda nodded and thought well ok, that makes enough sense to me. If we're gonna be cheap and stupid, might as well do it like that.
