May 22, 201412 yr Also gotta appreciate the fact that Alvarez has gone 6 or more innings in 7 of his last 8 starts. Only gone over 100 pitches in two of those games. I wish he'd strike out more people, but if he's getting guys out so be it.

I think it was unanimous everybody missed Ruggiano and they needed to bring in a veteran, but he has really been solid this year. He is on a 3+ WAR pace this season. Pretty tremendous. If this keeps up, they need to move Marisnick for a comparable young infielder if possible.

Would probably have to send a few good arms, too. Luis Sardinas? Major League ready and the Rangers are stacked with MIF, probably obtainable. Didi Gregorious? I think Marisnick is the better prospect, but a thought... I didn't mention second basemen as Dietrich looks like the future IMO.
