Bringing up Baez? C'mon man. Not even worth a comment there (and the "few good arms" comment, that would be Heaney at least.)

Prospect for prospect straight up trades are incredibly rare, so even discussing it seems like a waste of time imo. Marisnick isn't being traded, and even if he ever is it'll be in a trade at the deadline where we're acquiring short term help for a playoff run.

Baez has also sucked monsterdong instead of hitting them this year.

And the other two (more realistic) ideas I mentioned?

Also, another thought, Josh Rodriguez has been crushing the ball in NO and has played SS previously...

Marisnick for...

Javier Baez? He is sucking it up right now in Triple A and they're loaded with IFers. Would probably have to send a few good arms, too.

Luis Sardinas? Major League ready and the Rangers are stacked with MIF, probably obtainable.

Didi Gregorious? I think Marisnick is the better prospect, but a thought...

I didn't mention second basemen as Dietrich looks like the future IMO.

Gotta keep Marisnick just for the small possibility of the Marlins unloading Stanton to another team.

This is ... actually not too bad of a thought. I mean, he's older and probably worse defensively than Hech (small sample size in NO with 26 total chances at SS but a range factor under 3? Eh.) But, for a bat ... maybe.

Bingo

I told a co-worker when it was 3-0, "Dunn will come in and blow it." Nice win but seriously. f***. Dunn.

Dunn is either really awesome or complete shit. I still like him.

Agreed. Jordany Valdespin is also hitting OK and has MLB experience.

Lets just say right now that not everybody hitting decently in AAA deserves a chance at the majors. Bringing up minor league fodder as possible options is just wrong.

As much as I know Adeiny shouldn't be hitting in the majors, our depth at the SS position in the minors is atrotious. Until they find somebody suitable to replace him (and Furcal when healthy is the only persona who could even be considered to usurp him) Adeiny will be starting at SS. Guys like Rodriguez or whoever else would just put up equally bad numbers.

Worse than Adeiny?

Statistically, probably not. But as bad as Adeiny is at baseball, he seems like a decent enough person. Valdespin, not so much.

A polarizing figure in Queens, Valdespin seemed to infuriate his teammates as much as the opposition, and ultimately the Mets figured he was more trouble than his raw ability was worth.

When Valdespin threw a clubhouse tantrum in front of general manager Sandy Alderson after being notified of his demotion in early July, the team's patience was near its end.

The last straw came a month later when Valdespin received a 50-game suspension for his alleged involvement with Biogenesis, the Miami-based clinic accused of distributing performance-enhancing drugs.

Do you guys think that Valdespin is a contestant in the Least Likable Mets Player of All-Time tournament that probably exists somewhere out there?

He's battling it out with Mike Jacobs.

Needed that considering blowing that lead and losing would have been crushing.

Alvarez needs to cut down on the hits. Feels like he has 1 or 2 guys on every inning.

Team offense goes with the two young outfielders. Just keep them out there and let them learn to make the continual adjustments required to succeed in the MLs.

Marisnick has done nothing compared to Ozuna. He is a possible poor replacement when Stanton departs and worth nothing in the trade market.

Ozuna's power gives him the chance to be something special.

Fixed.

I played baseball for 15 years and couldn't get my hair to stay spiked like his under my cap. Literally tried for 5 years from 8th grade to my only year of college ball

This shit works pretty well.
