What do you guys honestly see as a successful year for Garrett Jones? I think if he can hit .270-.275ish with 25 HR and 80 RBI can be written down as successful.

 

Jones has only had 25+ home runs and 80+ RBI's one time, so the numbers you're posting would be a career high or on par with his career best 2012 season. His current pace has him for 22 homers and 73 RBI's, and that doesn't account that a majority of his numbers came from a recent hot streak and that he's come back down to earth mostly since.

 

I'd say the high 10's low 20's in home runs should be expected while batting around .250.

 

Statistically he's still not all that good of a first baseman since the guy hitting there should be one of the best offensive weapons on the team (OPS'ing in the mid .800's and providing the power for the team). Jones is good, but at best he's a league average first baseman.

After working for Fox Sports and actually meeting the guy, he's not as bad as some people may think but he always has the mentality of work first/people skills later. Not a huge dick but not the nicest person either. Same goes for Frank Forte.

He couldn't. The fisherman held out his right hand and Minervini was holding the mic with his right hand. He couldn't switch mic hands in that instant. What could he do...slip him a left hand handshake. It was an awkward moment. That's why I said "hand that man a fish".
