June 13, 201412 yr Seriously, what a waste of production. It's cool tho, we got Ed Lucas. With Furcal on his way up!!
June 13, 201412 yr love that DD is absolutely mashing after our stupid ass FO sent him down. he wasn't set down because he couldn't hit he was sent down because he was killing them defensively.
June 13, 201412 yr he wasn't set down because he couldn't hit he was sent down because he was killing them defensively. Jones's defense and Adeiny's offense is "killing them" much more than Dietrich's defense was.
June 13, 201412 yr Look at Charlie LOweLL He is just coming back from T J surgery. Not going to so well. I would hope that they move him down to the NY PENN league this weekend so that he can rehab his way back up. I thought he had some promise before the injury. And the girlfriend beating. LOL
June 13, 201412 yr Jones's defense and Adeiny's offense is "killing them" much more than Dietrich's defense was. And Hechavarria is bad defensively too.
June 13, 201412 yr And Hechavarria is bad defensively too. i wouldn't say Hechs defense is necessarily bad-- just average at best.
June 14, 201412 yr He is below replacement defenisvely according to WAR. Over 214 games his UZR is -2.9, which isn't terrible. Hanley was a good example of terrible at SS. His dWAR this is season is 0.7, which is 3rd highest on the team so far this season (Stanton, Ozuna).
June 14, 201412 yr Fangrahps has him a -.6 They also have him with a drs of 4... which is slightly above average.
June 14, 201412 yr They also have him with a drs of 4... which is slightly above average. ...which again, shows he isn't terrible.
June 14, 201412 yr ...which again, shows he isn't terrible. He is basically an average defender at best though. While some things favor him, others are fairly unkind. He is incredibly terrible on offense though, which makes his average defense that much worse. Because it means he's not actually "good" at anything.
June 14, 201412 yr Fangrahps has him a -.6 ...which again, shows he isn't terrible. Even with the -0.6 UZR over 64 games, that is still about average.
June 14, 201412 yr And he is -9 in UZR What is your point? Most def metrics shows he's about average.
June 14, 201412 yr ...which again, shows he isn't terrible. Even with the -0.6 UZR over 64 games, that is still about average. -0.6 dWAR, not UZR
