Its pretty sad that the Cubs have one of the worst offense in baseball but they have no problems scoring against this rotation. Ugh. Other than maybe Alverez, the entire rotation has went to shit since Fernandez got hurt. Even pathetic offenses are feasting on these guys.

I hate to say this, and I really hope I'm wrong because I'm a die hard long time Fish fan. But I think this team will be under .500 pretty soon. And could very well stay under .500. By my count Redmond's "managing" has cost the team 5-6 wins so far this year. A team like this can't just keep giving away games; a team like this has to go all out and scrap to win every game it can. Redmond should be managing every game like he's in a 5 game playoff series. Instead he's been managing like his team is 15 games out in late September.

For most hitters that's true. But the really great hitters get hits off pitchers even when they make great pitches. Stanton is just 24 years old. He is still evolving. He might yet become a great hitter, the way he has progressed.

We've been pretty bad the last 10 games.

And don't get me wrong, I love the kid. Best pure power hitter I've seen in a long time, and I'm in my late fifties. I used to go nuts listening to Marlins fans who wanted Stanton traded. He is getting better every year and if he continues progressing, look out!

I loved Harmon Killebrew of the Twins when I was a kid. Frank Howard was a pure power hitter too. Stanton has the potential to be better than Killebrew because he can run and hit for a higher average and still hit monumental HRs. And Killebrew is in the HOF with over 570 HRs.
