But we are stuck with both Jones and Furcal, and despite the fact that he is declining, he should help this team this year. He can hit and he can steal bases. And he can hit the occasional HR. I can't hate the guy.

Well, you're certainly entitled to your opinion. I think he's proven in the few games he's been back that he can do both (in the rehab games he stole 5 bases), and the Front Office seems to think he can. But hey, you might be right.

Its not an opinion. Your knee jerk reaction to 3 games notwithstanding, in the two seasons prior to being injured all of last year he hit .251/.314/.347 and had a 70% success rate in stolen bases(21 for 30). That is all pretty terrible.
