StarFish! Two Marlins in the All-Star Game. Good Sign?

There could have been four in there maybe even five arguingly. But I can live with two. Team has a rock solid foundation just missing a couple of peaces.

4 or 5?

Here's how I see it, sort of. If Jose stayed healthy, he makes it. Stanton also makes it. "4 or 5" is assuming Alvarez would have still made it, and guessing that Cishek and/or McGehee would have made the team.

I think regardless we end up with two all-stars. Three max if Cishek hadn't had a blowup recently.

That's a bingo

Also, if Fernandez is healthy, things may work out differently for Fernandez. Not that his success is only because of Fernandez going down hurt but a lot of Alvarez's recognition is because he "took over the ace role" from Jose. So if Jose would have made the team, I doubt Alvarez makes it assuming he has the same numbers.

Probably depends on our record. If his numbers are the same and we're in first or second place, they both probably go.

Fair enough but I was basing my thought on that we're not the Yankees Dodgers Red Sox and for some reason Milwaukee as teams with a whole gaggle of All stars. So I figured if we're sticking to usually 1-2 Marlins on the team, Fernandez goes over Alvarez.

We had 4 All-Stars in 2004 AND 2005, so it's not impossible.

Yes I'm aware of that but those are the two years after our last championship... When we were still successful and relevant on a national level... Not to mention McKeon had a say on the 04 All Stars. It's not impossible but we're not at that level these days. Some serious undeniable success has to happen for the Marlins to get 4-5 All Stars now.
