If it was one defensive metric, I would agree with you. When every single metric has him as below average defensively, that points to a sad reality.

 

The fact that he is penciled in as the Marlins starting shortstop indefinitely for the foreseeable future is sickening.

I feel adeiny is an A plus defensive player. He makes errors sure but so so many runs saved.

I should have said below average defensively and well below average offensively. He is definitely not a person who should be starting for a MLB team.
