I mean it was fuckign obvious Jose is scared to throw his fastball. why the fuck would you have no one warmed up

He's throwing his fastball just fine. He should've been out of the inning already and now he is. It was the right move. Last start, people were complaining that we took him out too early.

Jose ain't scared of anything.

He threw very few fastballs after the HBP and the ones he threw were like 5 MPH slower than usual until the last AB.  He absolutely changed things after the HBP.

Jose should whip out his dong and make Chip Hale suck it.

Maybe scared isn't the word but he was clearly hesitant (velocity was down until last couple) and thinking about hitting peralta in the head.

dat's what im saying. He walked 2 guys. Did you think he walks 2 guys in an inning if he didn't hit Peralta the inning before?

When the two options are Jose and our middle relief scrubs, I trust Jose every time. Especially when he's at 80+ pitches. Last start, we were complaining that DJ took him out with the low pitch count.

maybe he left him out there for a bit of a test.  I mean it won't be the last time he hits someone with a pitch, he's gotta refocus.  Jose's the ace, he'll have to figure this stuff out.  It's not like we're in a playoff race so it's as good a time as any for this stuff.

Completely different circumstances. Jose's head wasn't in the game at all after he pegged Peralta.

He was probably hesitant and ramped it up as the situation got tense. Hesitant Jose would've gotten out of the inning without giving up a run if not for Morse being terrible at everything. Jose is the anti-Morse. Let's DFA Morse.
