I thought of Napoli but I wasn't sure if we ever actually went after him. I thought his name just came up because of his relationship with Salty.

The Napoli news also was the hint that Park wasn't happening.

Well you did say that the Napoli thing was talked about but as of yet no offer has been set nor might it ever materialize. I took that as a hint that Park could've happened.

I am clever how I word things but yes, its possible that Napoli gets an offer. There's just "interest" for now, though had they won the bid for Park there wouldn't even be "interest" in Napoli I'm guessing

Mike Napoli and Cliff Lee are not the type of free agents to get this team to the next level. I thought the Marlins were past these types of guys already. This just smells like Jones, Furcal, Penny, Kotchman, Wolf, Pierre 2013. It's like the Marlins start their free agent hunt at the end of the line and then work their way backwards to find who they like.

I wonder what Mattingly thinks of this.

Were we even close to the park top bid?

This time of the year I often read through other teams news articles as a way to recap other teams' past season and future plans. Its a simple way for me to get caught up with the storylines surrounding other teams. Its also a great way for me to realize what other teams are going through. Yes being a Marlins fan can be cringe worthy at times but there are several teams I can't imagine being a fan of. Colorado, San Diego, & Cincinnati (in the short term) jump out to me right now. I feel much more positive about the Marlins than those three and a few others.
