April 5, 201610 yr http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2014/04/the-45-day-advance-consent-form.html Marlins relievers Craig Breslow and Dustin McGowan have both signedadvance consent agreements allowing them to be removed from the major league roster without guaranteeing the remainder of their salary within 45 days of Opening Day, Jon Heyman of MLB Network reports on Twitter. Breslow will earn at a $1.5MM rate in the majors, as was reported upon hissigning, while McGowan will take home $1MM annually. Meanwhile, Heyman adds, lefty Chris Narveson will earn $1.2MM in the majors. He doesn’t specify whether Narveson has an advanced consent agreement. So it's the reason they make the team !? cheapskate Loria will say goodbye to them within that 45 days.
April 5, 201610 yr That's not cheapskate Loria.... That's smart because neither is a lock to stay in the bullpen.
April 5, 201610 yr Guys, screw the hypocrisy of the statement. Screw the logic. This is still cheapskate Loria.
April 5, 201610 yr Author That's not cheapskate Loria.... That's smart because neither is a lock to stay in the bullpen. If they are not lock to stay in the pen then they shouldn't make the team.
April 5, 201610 yr If they are not lock to stay in the pen then they shouldn't make the team. Seriously? Not one reliever in the majors is a lock to stay in any bullpen the entire season, even the absolute best relievers. How many teams go through the entire season with the exact 7 relievers they opened the season with?
April 5, 201610 yr Seriously? Not one reliever in the majors is a lock to stay in any bullpen the entire season, even the absolute best relievers. How many teams go through the entire season with the exact 7 relievers they opened the season with? Exactly none of them. Look at last year. We started with Cishek as our closer, and he ended up in St. Louis basically as depth for them. Now he's Seattle's closer, lol.
April 5, 201610 yr Exactly, @taiwanmarlin, think again because I think you knew better than that buddy.
