Bonds Rejects Giants Wall of Fame Offer

Featured Replies

He seems dedicated to his new franchise and rejected an offer from Giants CEO Admin Baer to finally go on the Giants’ Wall of Fame this weekend.

“I thought it really wasn’t the right time,” Bonds said. “My boss is Jeffrey now. I want to respect him and respect the Marlins. We’re here to play the Giants and put on a good performance. I think it’s more respectful to the Marlins fans and Miami people. If the Giants want to do something at a later date with me in the right uniform, that’s more appropriate.”

Hey wait what the hell thats not what my post looked like. I can't even post a thread right... this reeks of COL.

Ok well I edited the quote from the article I found it in but the original post still won't let me post what I was gonna say, or the link of the article I got it from. COL for sure.

Anyways, I thought this was nice to read. Bonds really has taken to this team and just the thought of him thinking twice about accepting this award while working for us says a lot. I don't think any of us would have been offended had he accepted this because we know what he means to the Giants and what the Giants mean to him... but the fact that he did reject this says so much to me.

the Giants acting like a jealous ex-girlfriend, they seeing in another uniform now they want to retire his #? screw that. well done by Barry.
