I'd have loved to see him finish it off too but I'm not going to act like this is some crazy, terrible move as some people in here are. It was perfectly logical.

He was literally in the worst spot for that decision. It's just 4 outs. If it was 2 or more innings at 110+ pitches it would be so much easier to decide. No tight answer here

I gotta say, regardless of how the ninth goes down this has been an ideal type of game to help this team get over Mr Gordon's suspension. Score early, score often, have a no hitter as a game long distraction, a very positive game for a team that could have afforded a crushing loss today.
