Guest Vince0926
I hope this doesn't start a downward slope where we struggle at home of a sudden. Koehler has hurt my feelings. and ege doesn't belong here at this point in time.
SongInTheAir
I hope this doesn't start a downward slope where we struggle at home of a sudden. Koehler has hurt my feelings. and ege doesn't belong here at this point in time. Koehler would be an excellent reliever, but the team will keep stringing him along as a mediocre starter. He's obviously not as bad as he was today, but he's a ~4.5-4.75 ERA guy as a starter. Ege has some long term promise as a LOOGY, but he needs to go down and throw some more strikes. Bryan Morris looked much better today in his first inning, shouldn't have been out for a second, he's not that type of pitcher. Breslow's career is over and it should have been over before this season even started. I liked what I saw out of McGowan at the beginning of the season much more than anything Breslow has done in a Marlins uniform.

SixYearItch
Garbage piling up in the pen, creating a real health hazard. Ege, Breslow and Morris need to be hauled away now. Koehler can do it and then take a jump into the dumpster himself. Ellington, Wittgren and Flores for the pen, one of the latter two temporary until Dunn comes back. Sherman shill
never thought i'd say it but when Dunn comes back it'll actually be a significant upgrade for whomever he replaces.

canada-marlin24
I do not like the record of 12-12. Now the key for this team is to come back strong and not be like previous Marlins teams that turn one loss into 5. I also think Ege was just way out of his element today and visibly nervous. If he throws strikes he can be solid but that 82mph shit that he couldn't even guide over the plate won't work.
canada-marlin24
Also Breslow and Morris can go. Ellington needs to be called up as he has been pitching better. Needs to control walks.

Guest Vince0926
so when's dunn coming back?
SongInTheAir
Dunn hasn't even thrown a baseball since he went on the DL. He won't be back for a long time. Honestly, I'm not expecting to see him pitch at all this season.
Sherman shill
On the day the team finalized its Opening Day roster, Dunn was placed on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to March 25th, which means his earliest return would be during the team’s first road series against the Nationals. It’s Dunn’s first stint on the DL in his career that began in 2009 with the Yankees. "Nothing’s serious in our thought," Marlins President of Baseball Operations Michael Hill said. "But we just figured we have the ability to retro him, and let’s not make something little, big, and give him the opportunity when he’s healthy to give us a full season." Hill said the issue first came up for Dunn when he felt some tightness in his forearm while pitching on a back field in Jupiter on March 24th. Hill said Dunn had an MRI that came back negative. SixYearItch
No Reinzo, please. I don't know how long it will take before Ege, Breslow and Morris are jettisoned. Until then, Donny can not be bringing any of these dudes in with men on base. So help me, they each must be batting close to a 1000 in letting inherited runners score. Guest Vince0926
Enough with that. It's just what happened last year. last year was last year. I know it goes against my COL theory but come on you sweep LA 4 games at their place. that's pretty damn shocking and special. it totally offsets that stupid braves series. canada-marlin24
Maybe. But there are some good things happening, no? Yes and now they need to not do what they did in other years and let the end of the streak mean a losing streak.
