@TKREFRESH22 hey man! Great job ending the Marlins win streak! They can use your quality pitching in the zephyrs!

That's a dick move.  Not funny.  It's not like he's going out  there and stinking it up on purpose.

I don't even have a twitter. it was guy named andy.

What's even more dick is that TK actually responds to it

polly it wasn't me I swear! I don't even know how to use twitter!

I'm pretty sure every baseball player gets that type of reaction on Twitter when they suck. The difference is that Koehler responds to it.

I know it wasn't you. It's TK once again getting his panties in a bunch over some stupid twitter comment.

yes. and honestly, I laughed at the comment to him. someone other us on these boards knows he sucks.

@Adminwhy don't I have a scratch off card even for a 5 game hitting streak. had to email mlb.

without a doubt...esp the major market teams. TK is such a baby

Lincecum doing a show case later this week. Are we desperate yet?

why not take a look?

I still kinda like Big Salad.

you mean the real food? me too.

Sorry to be a broken record, but Eduardo Perez is a really shitty commentator (although not as bad as Preston Wilson). Outside of his irksome voice, he's kind of vapid. Today he said "I'm expecting Ichiro to go deep here" before he grounded out to the pitcher. It's like he doesn't know what to say sometimes and tries to fill dead air.

He's also awkwardly unfunny. He tries to be but you get uncomfortable listening to him because he has no charisma.

He sucks.

Being a broadcaster is certainly hard, which makes it even more ridiculous that they fired someone who was actually really good at it.

agreed.

I still haven't had a chance to hear Leiter but all indications were that he was good. They are definitely going to select one guy for next season and they should really do right by Hutton, listen to the viewers, and bring Hutton back.

Make it like a Denis Potvin.

Hutton was way better then the three guys they are using this year.

Personally, I like Leiter a lot more than Hutton.

If they don't bring in one of Lincecum, Lee or Lohse as a distant option, they are doing this team a great disservice

Agreed, on that front.  However, Koehler is better than any of the three options you mentioned.

I disagree, but not really worth arguing as the Marlins won't be signing any of these guys

It's not about who's better really. It's that the fish have absolutely no one to replace one of their starting 5 if someone gets injured at this point (not to mention the IP limits). I don't consider Cosart an option until/if he figures out how to throw strikes at least 50% of the time and there's no one else ready in the milb system

This. Even if you thought Koehler = the FA, it doesn't mean we shouldn't bring them in. I also think Koehler and the team for that matter, would be better suited in the long relief role that was occupied by BH. He just doesn't have a 3rd pitch to be consistent enough to get deep into the game. Let Urena settle into a 1-2 inning guy and a power reliever, and same for Cosart. I think the only saving grace on Cosart is if you can tell the guy, just focus on throwing strikes for 1, maybe 2 innings at the most. Let it rip for 20 pitches and next man up.
