June 15, 201610 yr I've actually sent a few emails to Michael Hurt in reference to the ridiculousness of the energy team and he said many fans really enjoy the energy team and that they are not there for my entertainment, but rather for the people visiting the ball park that have little interest in baseball. Apparently they are so popular that even the Panthers are looking to start their own dance team effective next season.

June 15, 201610 yr I don't care for the energy team but I can't believe any of you are so bothered by them. They're there for a few drunk girlfriends who joined their boyfriends for a game that they didn't care about to dance to. That's it. Even if it's just six people like squall said, who cares? They're not bothering me and they shouldn't be bothering you. And I don't blame the Marlins for trying something like this. I'm sure "someone" likes it so despite what real baseball fans think it's gonna stay. It does nothing to hurt the team or take away from the game itself so it's not a problem.

June 15, 201610 yr Listening to Jeff Nelson on the post game show now and I really like what I hear. He's ripping us fairly for not winning this game. It's almost like he's ripping us as if he doesn't work for us, like if he's on MLB Network or ESPN or something. But, unlike most of those commentators, he seems to know what he's talking about as opposed to the Al Leiter formula of "well I don't really watch this team so I'm only making judgements based on this one game and a couple clips I saw last night." So Nelson is outspoken, critical, and knowledgeable. Good start for him.
