The Marlins have been a surprise this season, winning games with a rotation that is made up of Jose Fernandez and little else. The staff is comprised of right handers, which makes Liriano an intriguing prospect. The 32-year-old Dominican star has spent time with the Minnesota Twins and the Chicago White Sox before joining the Pirates in 2013.

i was listening to a local radio talk show this morning (bay area, cali) and they were dogging all the florida teams (dolphins, bucs, jaguars, panthers, lighting, heat, magic, rays, and marlins) on how much they suck ...

 

not sure if they were referring to current success or overall success in the last several years, but the heat won it twice with lebron and the marlins have won 2 as well, and are currently 6 games over .500) 

 

i think these guys are still sour from all those times the marlins eliminated their beloved giants in the playoffs. The sweetest victory was conine nailing jt snow at the plate and Pudge holding on to clinch the NL wildcard. I think the giants were a 100 win team that year (and it was during their 60 year world series drought). I swear, they held a grudge against us for years.
