ya'll are acting like stanton has been a god and a savior this year and he's the only reason we're in the playoff hunt.

he's been garbage for most of the season. Relax.

if we get bour back, our offense is more than capable to keep us in the hunt.

Apparently, the best-case scenario for Stanton's injury is six weeks. That would be like the last week of September, so if they can somehow hold on, maybe they get him back for the playoffs...

Excluding his rookie year when he was called up doing the season, Stanton has played 150, 123, 116, 145, 74 and 103 games in each year. Only 2/6 years anywhere close to playing a full season and only 73% of total games just isn't enough for someone that carries this team.

Yes he has been garbage at times but still leads the team in HR and RBI's.

He had one bad month. It's hilarious how people act like a guy with 25 homers and an .826 OPS is "garbage."

To be fair, 2014 shouldn't count because that was just the result of a beanball.

Hill said grade 3 strain, best case 6 weeks. So yeah. Okay just have Ozuna catch fire, Bour comes back, and Alex Rodriguez carries the team to the playoffs. Simple.

Yea this is bugging me. If he continues to be the centerpiece of this team we may never be successful again.
No joke, Mike Hill looks like shit. Like he's tired and weathered and beat up. Wow.

cant blame him.. for some odd reason everything horrific is just coming in droves.

Mattingly hates him. Zero chance.

And I'm not sure how much of a difference he'd make, anyway. Guy hasn't been good since 2014.

I expect significant roster moves this week. Despite feeling out of this, we're too close for the front office to do nothing.

But what can they do? Not sure if they can get anything good at this point given that whoever they trade for is going to have to pass through waivers and they don't have much to trade.

theyll end up with Gomez and A-Rod

I can see that happening, to be honest. What the heck. Go ahead and do it.
