Does anyone here have faith in Mike Hill? I liked the move in acquiring Rodney at the time to try and bolster the major league roster but I don't like Hill and I don't have faith in him. The Cashner deal is still way worse because we don't control him past this year. At least there's still a chance to trade Rodney next year.

Well, if you supported the trade to bring in that piece of overrated garbage Rodney, then you had faith that Mike Hill wasn't an idiot and didn't make a terrible trade. Most people here fell into that category.

It's broken.  We have the man who destroyed Montreal with an incompetent FO in place.   Thirteen years ago, MLB stuck us with Loria.  Can a fan base file a class action against MLB?  I'd rather see MLB take team control like they did to the Nationals until a better owner is found.

It does make me sound hypocritical.  This season was one of the best in years until injuries, the return of Dee and some dumb deals (destroying our ravaged farm) came into play.  Then the usual faults / issues of ownership and the FO remind you that change is desperately needed even tho they were in a playoff hunt.  Loria and Hill can't cut it.

You say that you wanted a trade to make the team better.  But the person whose judgment on what makes the team better is someone you claim not to trust.  If you supported this man's trade, aren't you publicly proclaiming that you trust his judgment on how to make the team better?

 

You were against the Cashner trade, but you were very publicly for the Rodney trade.  So that means you did have faith in Mike HILL when he made the Rodney trade, right?

They won't get much for Rodney at all because they would be selling low on him. Almost the same thing.
