This team is falling so fast they're willing to rush Stanton back because a limping Stanton is a better offensive threat once a game than basically everyone except Yelich Prado and Realmuto. It's like the team is saying "I'd rather have a one legged Stanton hit than a healthy Chris Johnson"...and in a way, they're right.

Fully resting him now will decrease the chances of something happening in the first half of 2017. It will be dumb if Stanton misses the 2017 HR derby and ASG because the Marlins made a desperate attempt to win the WC.
