Lou Brock has been in for years, and Raines had Brock beat in just about every category except for the total number of steals, but even then, for players with at least 400 steals, Raines' efficiency is best all time [84.7%]. Sit back a moment and think about how ridiculous that number is. He attempted nearly 1000 times and was safe almost 85% of those tries. There are many other numbers that prove his candidacy but that is one of the best.
