February 9, 20179 yr a team of investors might be (would likely be) worse than Loria - as hard as that is to believe. Ross does spend money on UFA's as he likes to make the big headline splash. The dolphins do suck but you'd at least have some entertaining offseasons to look forward to in regard to being in the hunt for the big name FA's.

February 9, 20179 yr Loria isn't the sole owner of the marlins. Yeah I don't think this is common knowledge.
February 9, 20179 yr It's probably Ross. Some mentioned the liquidity part wouldn't make sense if it is Ross but who knows
February 9, 20179 yr Stephen Ross is from NY...so are the Panthers owners. Not that unusual. The Violas aren't in real estate I don't believe.
February 9, 20179 yr Loria paid 158 mil, may get 1.6 bil to sell WHAT A BUSINESSMAN How's that for return on investment even though you ran the team into the ground since 2003?
February 9, 20179 yr Some mentioned the liquidity part wouldn't make sense if it is Ross but who knows Keep your liquid to yourself.
February 9, 20179 yr IT'S HAPPENING! IT'S FUCKING HAPPENING!!!! I haven't read any of the details, but YAY!
February 9, 20179 yr Just FYI Alex Rodriguez is from NYC and is involved in real estate. I doubt he has the capital to be very liquid, and MLB would most likely give him a pass on this requirement. I have seen A-Rod as a future owner for years
February 9, 20179 yr Derek Jeter? Lets hope. Would have to be part of an investment group, also not sure if he has his hands in real estate anyway
February 9, 20179 yr Isn't Arod a broadcaster now? When is his contract up? Playing contract? Runs through 2017. Broadcasting contract? No idea
February 9, 20179 yr The black guy in my avatar looking over at Loria is a minority owner. And not only because he's black. Is that the dude that hangs out with Loria a lot? Loria hugs him right after the Marlins win the WS in 2003. What's his deal?
February 9, 20179 yr Very nice guy but scary af. Owns a security company. Runs security for marlins park. Minority (black) owner. So he's not there as a bodyguard or something? He's a pretty big dude.
February 9, 20179 yr Very nice guy but scary af. Owns a security company. Runs security for marlins park. Minority (black) owner. He sits in diamond club next to the dugout in Loria's seats even if Loria isn't there. He's massive. Also does security during spring training
February 9, 20179 yr So he's not there as a bodyguard or something? He's a pretty big dude. He is during ST. When Jose was signing autos last spring he was there guarding him.
February 9, 20179 yr So he's not there as a bodyguard or something? He's a pretty big dude. He's some kind of crippled though. Walks with a big limp. Can barely get up and down the stairs so he's probably most of the way retired from actual security details.
February 9, 20179 yr Just FYI Alex Rodriguez is from NYC and is involved in real estate. I doubt he has the capital to be very liquid, and MLB would most likely give him a pass on this requirement. Talking to someone who has no idea about real estate, what requirement is that?
February 9, 20179 yr Talking to someone who has no idea about real estate, what requirement is that? MLB is said to not like situations where the buyer doesn't have the liquidity up-front
February 9, 20179 yr By who? Joel Sherman tweeted that they aren't involved in the deal Forbes reported.
