marlinsmaniac
It was open on opening day and the weather was absolutely phenomenal!
SilverBullet
Well this means I know not to take my family to any day games this year. They hate it, they can't handle it. Not trying to whine about this, I just keep bringing it up because I think it's a serious yet so obvious concern. Not everyone can or wants to deal with this sun in their face for over 3 hours. marlinsmaniac
Phenomenal to look at but not phenomenal to sit through. Man I didn’t find it uncomfortable at all! I was in right field under the upper deck so I didn’t get any direct sun at all. Were the rest of the seats getting hit?
THRILLHO
It is very aesthetically pleasing but I didn’t sit there. Maybe if people know and are prepared it is different. Also depends on ages of those sitting there. Lots of variables. Can’t imagine they’ll continue this much past April
Entendu
It'll change, I'm sure. This is temporary until Jeter gets all those Dímelo Miami complaints

Were the rest of the seats getting hit? Yea I was on the third base side and people were running for cover a few innings into the game. I sat there and dealt with it because I can deal with it but I went home with a sunburn on my forearms face and even my knees where my shorts ended. My wife and kid were dying to leave and it made unpleasant for them and thus unpleasant for me. I know it's not the same experience for everyone but I just think it has to be pointed out because not everyone is a 20-30 year old die hard male sports fan who will ride it out. There are kids, older people, and casual fans who aren't willing to deal with it... along with that wife or girlfriend that doesn't even like sports but went because her boyfriend bought her a ticket yet she is so uncomfortable that she ruins it for him as she tugs on his sleeve begging him to leave. Comfort of ALL the fans has to be taken into account and there's no need for this situation when we have the roof. I'm glad I don't have tickets for today's game. You should try bullpen reserved then if you ever find yourself at a Day game cause it was honestly in complete shade
Guest CHRISTYTOD
I have been to one game in the new stadium. It was 2 years ago. The roof was closed. I hated the way it felt and sounded. Granted, I wouldn't enjoy sitting there schvitzing either, so it is definitely a quagmire.
SilverBullet
Yeah I definitely get you. You should try bullpen reserved then if you ever find yourself at a Day game cause it was honestly in complete shade Yeah but what happens to a season ticket holder who already has their seats on the third base side? Or someone, like me, who just prefers that section? I shouldn't have to downgrade my seats for that and that's also bad business for this to cause me to buy worse and cheaper seats. It's silly all around. Not answering your suggestion directly, I appreciate your conversation on this.

Erick
Some crazy shadows on the field right now. Part of the plan to screw with the other team.
CYmarlins
I appreciate the comment you made on the Marlins instagram. I agree it may look nice in photos but it isn’t as pleasant when you are there. I prefer the roof closed or only open at night.
all black marlins hat
I sat in the home run porch for opening day, we were in the shade all game.
SilverBullet
It is like the people complaining have never been outside in south florida. Are you referring to me? I've lived in South Florida for almost 30 years now. I know how hot it is outside but when I'm not at the beach or the pool if it's too hot I go inside. I'd rather not be bombarded with constant heat when all I'm trying to do is watch a baseball game especially when there's an amazing option for better comfort for myself and my family.
