I anticipate that they’ll trade/non tender both Brinson and Sierra and ultimately regret Brinson in two years when he reached his potential with a different team.

Jesus Aguilar – $7.4MM

Richard Bleier – $2.5MM

Jorge Alfaro – $2.7MM

Garrett Cooper – $3.0MM

Dylan Floro – $2.4MM

Brian Anderson – $4.5MM

Elieser Hernandez – $1.4MM

Sandy Alcantara – $4.5MM

Pablo Lopez – $2.5MM

Lewis Brinson – $1.3MM

Jon Berti – $1.2MM

Magneuris Sierra – $700K

Jeff Brigham – $600K

I agree on both Sierra and Brinson likely being non-tendered. I think they'll non-tender Cooper also.

When is the deadline for arbitration / contract tendering? Might be worth waiting for the CBA getting finalized if we can, see if DH becomes universal. Then Cooper could be tendered a deal then traded.

Man I really hope they don’t, he’s a good hitter he’s just made of glass. An AL team could really benefit from him at DH.

Non-tender deadline is December 1st.

Ah, damn, CBA expires after that time I think.

Decisions to be made soon then.

Alfaro non-tendered as well?

He, like Brinson, will get non tendered and put it together with his new team and become a very productive player.

Here's MLBTR's arb predictions.

Marlins (13)

Jesus Aguilar – $7.4MM

Richard Bleier – $2.5MM

Jorge Alfaro – $2.7MM

Garrett Cooper – $3.0MM

Dylan Floro – $2.4MM

Brian Anderson – $4.5MM

Elieser Hernandez – $1.4MM

Sandy Alcantara – $4.5MM

Pablo Lopez – $2.5MM

Lewis Brinson – $1.3MM

Jon Berti – $1.2MM

Magneuris Sierra – $700K

Jeff Brigham – $600K

At minimum, the bold (Sierra and Brinson) can be dumped for around 2M savings.   Sierra is beyond useless, and Brinson's time is up for me - if he goes on and does decently with another team, so be it - he's had chances here and never taken the opportunity, whether it's pressure or what, he just hasn't gotten it done.  Move on Marlins.

The italics are other question marks at best for another potential 7.5M savings.  I'm not advocating dumping Cooper, just saying he could be moved somehow as others have discussed.  I'd rather keep him if we can confirm the DH which would be good for him and his injury history, with some occasional 1B games to get other guys rest.  Alfaro - guess they could keep him as a backup?  But getting expensive for a guy that can't hit, can't catch, can't call a good game, and has passed balls every other pitch.  I'd rather have a Mathis-esque backup that's great at game calling/defense.  I know they like Berti, and I have too, but as the price tag climbs and he didn't do as well this past year, do they keep him?  Brigham, I honestly don't know enough about - is he worth keeping?

They should non-tender him. He's dead weight.

They'll non tender Alfaro and Sierra, they'll keep Cooper because of the DH and because he may still have some trade value. They might non tender Brinson but I wouldn't bet on it. Brinson's chances of being a star are gone but I can see him lasting quite a few more years in the majors as a bench piece or as a starter on a rebuilding club. He's not guaranteed a spot on the Marlins but I could see him finding a role especially if Sierra is cut loose. Oh, also wouldn't be shocked to see Berti and Brigham non tendered.

If Brinson is on this team next year, then it’s not a serious team. De la Cruz should be the 4th OF
