December 31, 200322 yr I'm first going to say, this second hand info and I don't want people to think this is fact......BUT it appear the deal is done with the city of Miami and the Marlins. An announce will be made on Thursday Jan. 8th. Don't ask me where, how much and all those juice questions because I don't know...I do know that an announce will be made Jan.8th. that's all I know.....I'll try to gather more info after the New Year
December 31, 200322 yr if this is the case, i hope they were able to do something big and avoid the OB plan, but if thats what they had to do im happy
December 31, 200322 yr I hope this is true. We need this new stadium so Lowell can stay! And because we have so much rain-delays here in South Florida. We need a roof. We cant be playing in a football stadium the whole career of the Marlins Franchise.
December 31, 200322 yr did we really have a lot of rain delayes this past season? not really, but we did have alot of cloudy days, and when it's cloudy most people don't go. If we have a roof more people would go to games even when it's cloudy cause they know the game will be played.

December 31, 200322 yr Yeah know what i want which is a very slim possiblity, a stadium built next to the Triple "A" have homeruns go out into the ocean like in San Fran. That would be awesome but i guess i'm dreaming.

December 31, 200322 yr Everyone wants that -- don't you remember when the drawings were released a couple of years ago? The problem lay with the environmentalists and, of course, with buying the land.
December 31, 200322 yr Somebody tell Vlad! yeah really we don't want Vlad waiting until January 8th he might make the mistake of signing with baltimore by then :o
December 31, 200322 yr Thank god for Jeffery Loria and Alex Penelas. Every other politician I can careless about, only Alex said that the stadium was possible through in through. :cool

Check me if I'm wrong, but I believe that Pittsburgh led the NL in rain delay minutes, could be wrong, but I remember hearing that somewhere....

I believe you are correct, I mean we only have had like 5 rainouts the past three years.
December 31, 200322 yr Wow, this would be awesome. I don't wanna get my hopes up because I'd be so upset if this wasn't true. Guess we have to wait til Jan.8th. It would be an amazing start to the new year if this is true.
