I feel like Skip showed an advanced level of maturity as a rookie manager today, in that instead of going with the likely game plan and automatically pulling Luzardo at that point as they had probably previously discussed, he read the situation and trusted Luzardo and his gut with that move instead of just an automatic pull from the game like so many other rookie managers would have done in that situation. Paid off in the end. I think it was desperation.. He knew we would lose the game had he done that. Thankfully he was rewarded for it, and hopefully it continues

July 23, 20233 yr Well at least the streak didn't reach double digits. How they respond from this point out will tell us everything about this team. If they go on a little winning streak here, then it means they have some resolve and that they are still very much in this. If not, then oh well. Like I've been saying all along: my expectations are tempered.
