Agreed on Boone probably being good for that. He has that marlins connection too, not that it is required.

About the same amount of Marlins connection as Hollandsworth.. but I can already tell that Boone would be much more entertaining as a color guy. Has that natural personality and would probably tell some interesting/funny stories during blowouts. 😂

Meanwhile the Rays play by play guy Dewayne Staats is in his 26th season as Rays broadcaster. Still mad that Marlins/FSN/Sun Sports, whatever you want to believe, missed the boat on having Rich Waltz as lifetime voice of Marlins.. Waltz probably had another 20 years left in him as a Marlins announcer. Severino is ok, but I have the feeling that Severino is the type of guy who would bounce in a moment’s notice if the Red Sox or Cubs or Yanks came calling.
