June 26, 20242 yr Thats it.... thats the news. HELL YEAH! Anyone else see Barkov got almost all of the second place votes and Bob was only named on one ballot. McDavid and Draistl disappeared for 5 games in the finals and they claim McDavid was the difference maker. Barkov and Bob got robbed.
June 26, 20242 yr Bob also disappeared for games 4, 5, and 6 and nobody aside from Wayne and Super Mario have ever had more points in a postseason run so he was as good of a choice as any honestly. It's not super common to have a losing teams player win it but its not unprecedented either.
June 26, 20242 yr I'm glad they pulled it out, but I didn't think they'd win if it went to 7 (after being up 3-0). They just stopped playing their game in 4-6, glad they woke up for game 7 to win for the first time in franchise history. I've been watching a lot more hockey the last few years, and followed the entire playoffs this (and last) year. Last year they had too many injuries going into the final to do well. I don't think I'll follow hockey in the same way I have baseball - i.e. trade rumors, etc - but I'll definitely watch more of them than the rudderless dumpster fire known as the Marlins. I knew if I put a bet down on the Oilers to win it after they won game 5 (I had 10-1 odds) that the Panthers would likely win it all in game 7. I did what I had to do to keep the cup out of Canada.
